These Terms & Conditions govern the appliance repair services provided by Border City Appliance Repair across Windsor and Essex County, Ontario. Booking an appointment with us means you're agreeing to these terms, so it's worth a quick read before you do.
We offer in-home diagnostics, repairs, and parts replacement for residential appliances within our Windsor-area service zone. Every visit starts with a free diagnostic and a written quote before any repair work begins, so you always know what you're agreeing to before we touch anything.
You can book online or by calling (226) 458-3569. We'll confirm your appointment by phone, text, or email. If you need to cancel or reschedule, just give us at least 24 hours' notice and there's no charge. Cancellations made with less notice, or missed appointments, may be subject to a $99 service-call fee.
Our technician inspects the appliance and gives you a written quote covering parts and labour before starting any work. Decline the quote and you owe nothing, the diagnostic itself is free. Approve it, and payment is due once the repair is finished.
We accept credit and debit cards, e-transfer, and cash. Applicable HST is added to every invoice, and overdue balances carry a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually).
Every repair we complete comes with a 90-day warranty covering the part we fixed or replaced and the labour for that specific repair. Full details, including what isn't covered, are on our Warranty page.
We can only complete a repair when the appliance is safely reachable, properly installed, and the space around it is reasonably safe and sanitary, no aggressive pets, pest issues, or exposed electrical hazards. If those conditions aren't met, our technician may need to reschedule, and a service-call fee may still apply.
To the extent Ontario law allows, Border City Appliance Repair isn't responsible for:
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific repair in question.
Our vans carry the parts that fail most often, so most repairs finish the same day. For less common parts, we order through manufacturer-approved suppliers. If a part turns out to be unavailable or discontinued, we'll let you know and refund any charges tied to work we couldn't complete.
We're not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, labour actions, or government restrictions.
We handle personal information in line with Canada's federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Full details are on our Privacy Policy page.
We may update these Terms from time to time, and the current version is always posted here. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply within it.
