Fridge runs but won't get cold

LG's Linear Compressor is quieter and more efficient than older designs, but it's also the single most expensive part to replace when it fails. Before assuming the worst, a blocked evaporator fan or iced-over coils cause the exact same warm-fridge symptom far more often.

Tumbling with no heat

LG electric dryers rely on a heating element that burns out gradually rather than all at once, so you might notice weaker heat for weeks before it stops producing any at all.

tE error on the display

tE is a thermistor fault, the sensor responsible for reading drum temperature. A false reading can cause the dryer to either overheat clothes or shut off a cycle early.

Loud thumping on every rotation

Worn drum support rollers are the most common cause on LG dryers with a few years of regular use, especially if the noise has a rhythmic, once-per-rotation pattern.

IE error, not filling with water

LG dishwashers throw IE when the float switch or inlet valve isn't registering water intake properly, sometimes because the float itself has gotten stuck under a stray utensil.

OE error, standing water after the cycle

A clogged drain filter or a kinked drain hose under the sink are the two most common causes, and LG's filter basket at the bottom of the tub fills up faster than most brands with heavy food debris.
